7 Types of Gamers on The Internet

Going online, you're inevitably going to run into all sorts of different people. Wonderful, lovely people... Some of them with extremely one sided opinions focusing on the positive or negative aspects of the things that only they personally enjoy or don't. No matter how bad something may be, somebody will always be there to defend it wholeheartedly, most of the time not even understanding why they're doing it.
These are the types of people you're likely to encounter:

Xbots

Potentially some of the worst fanboys are the console specific fanboys. This console gen we are already seeing justifications for Microsoft's horrid DRM, Micro transactions and Season Passes. The DRM mind you that they had to do away with in fear of losing their precious money after an internet uproar from rational folks. Some, even before the DRM was reversed, claimed that the Xbox One was "revolutionary" and "game changing" and the TV features would be worthwhile and amazing! To Xbots, everything that isn't made by Microsoft is garbage that isn't worth the time of day. Every other game is casual and nothing comes close to HaloGearsForza.

Nintendrones

Subcategory: 3DS Fanboys (Vita = Shita)

Nintendo can do no wrong. To them, they have the best games, and in fact they are the only games that matter. Nintendo fans will typically only purchase Nintendo systems and handhelds and praise them without recognizing any possible flaws that exist, much like the other console groups. Only Nintendo makes "real games" and they are the only company who has any products left with "gameplay" at all and everything else is just a movie.

Sony Ponies

Somebody thought they were clever when they came up with this name I'm sure.
These types of people only buy Sony products. They don't game on anything else but PlayStation. They probably have a Sony TV, Computer, MP3 Player, you name it. In extreme cases they've probably even been buying PlayStation Plus since it first released (before it was even good). Kaz Hirai is their god among gods, and he delivered the ultimate unmatched console the PS4 burning everybody else into oblivion. Or so they believe.

PC MASTER RACE

These are the guys who only play PC and refuse to game on consoles at all. They say PC does everything and more and would rather not have any experience that could even be remotely considered sub-par. A lot of these people even refuse to use a controller, playing exclusively with keyboard and mouse. Typically, these people will tell you that all console games are casual and games like StarCraft, Arma, Dota, and MMOs are the true games that require skill and precision.

Fighting Fanboys (also Capcom Fanboys)

Fighting is about pure competition, the hype, and mainly the hype, if you don't like fighting games you just suck ass at them. We cannot get over the hype. Fighting fanboys get excited over nearly every fighting game announced or released for no seemingly logical reason.

Capcom could literally release a turd and give it punch and kick moves and these people would probably pay $59.99 plus $19.99 for a Season Pass. Sometimes you will even hear the argument that "Capcom always listens to their fans!" Even though, we all know that is simply untrue.

2hardcore5u racers (more of a rarity unless you go looking for them)

These guys refuse to play any games on consoles let alone anything but racing games. These guys think they are the most elite of all that is bad-ass. They only play the latest and most thought to be realistic racing simulation games available on PC and are willing to pay top dollar to do so. For all intents and purposes they are the real deal in their own minds.
